Job Description

Exciting opportunities are available for experienced Occupational Therapists to make a real impact in the classroom setting near Dekalb, IL. Supporting students in grades K-12, youll help foster independence, overcome physical and cognitive challenges, and ensure each child can reach their fullest potential. Choose from full-time (37.5 hours weekly) or part-time (32 hours weekly) contract positions for the 2026/2027 school yeartwo spots are available for passionate and dedicated professionals.

What Youll Need:

  • Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Illinois
  • Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric OT setting is strongly desired
  • Ability to collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
  • Comfort working with diverse student populations and adapting interventions to individual needs

What Youll Do:

  • Conduct assessments and develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students
  • Deliver direct and consultative OT services within schools to support students academic and functional performance
  • Evaluate progress, document findings, and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team discussions, and professional development
  • Educate and provide resources to staff and families on strategies for student success
  • Maintain accurate records and compliance with school and state guidelines
