Job Description

Key Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid Occupational Therapist license in Michigan
  • Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
  • Strong background in supporting students with cognitive disabilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Openness to providing in-person services as required by the program

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services to K-12 students, primarily those with cognitive impairments
  • Assess and document student needs, develop individualized treatment plans, and track progress
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure students achieve their educational goals
  • Participate in IEP meetings, providing input and recommendations for accommodations or modifications
  • Implement a variety of therapeutic techniques and adaptive strategies
  • Maintain compliance with all state guidelines and program policies
