Job Description

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
  • Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
  • Previous experience providing occupational therapy services in schools is highly valued
  • Strong knowledge of IEP processes and school-based documentation
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
  • Adaptability and a solution-focused mindset to meet diverse student needs
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload and utilize creative interventions

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess students functional abilities and contribute to the development of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Provide targeted interventions to support students fine motor, sensory, and functional school participation skills
  • Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and parents to integrate recommended strategies within the classroom setting
  • Monitor student progress, adjusting therapy plans and documenting progress as required by district and state guidelines
  • Educate school staff on best practices to foster inclusion and independence for all learners
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional insight to interdisciplinary teams
  • Maintain accurate and timely records in accordance with school and district policies
