Job Description
Make an immediate impact supporting students growth as an Occupational Therapist on a contract basis. This opportunity will allow you to utilize your expertise, contribute to a collaborative educational environment, and help children succeed both academically and personally.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in the state or eligibility to obtain one
- Masters degree from an accredited OT program
- Experience providing OT services in educational or pediatric settings
- Excellent observation, assessment, and communication skills
- Ability to design individualized treatment plans and adapt approaches as needed
- Familiarity with IEP processes and special education law is a plus
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative OT services to students as outlined in IEPs
- Conduct evaluations to assess students motor, sensory, and self-care skills
- Develop evidence-based interventions tailored to individual student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other related service personnel
- Monitor student progress and maintain thorough documentation
- Attend and participate in IEP meetings, progress reviews, and faculty discussions
- Share expertise and resources to help school staff implement accommodations or classroom modifications
