Job Description

This role offers both full-time and part-time options, providing up to 40 hours per week, and invites dedicated occupational therapy professionals to work in an engaging educational environment near Coral, MI.

In this position, youll collaborate with educators and families to foster students independence by developing and facilitating strategies that address daily living, fine/gross motor skills, and sensory needs. Your expertise will help students succeed and thrive at various grade levels.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Current Occupational Therapy license valid in Michigan
  • Experience working with children or adolescents in a school-based setting
  • Knowledge of best practices in school occupational therapy across elementary, middle, and high school populations
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload and adapt to changing student needs
  • Commitment to evidence-based, student-centered interventions

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide assessments and therapeutic services for students ranging from kindergarten through high school
  • Develop individualized care plans in coordination with special education teams
  • Document progress, maintain accurate case notes, and contribute to IEP meetings
  • Educate and guide teachers, staff, and parents regarding strategies to support student access and participation
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to maintain licensure and improve skills
