An opportunity is available for a full-time Occupational Therapist to support students in an in-person school setting located in Columbus, NM. The position entails a 37.5-hour workweek, serving approximately 30 students, primarily at the elementary level, with some support extending to middle and high school students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled occupational therapy services to students across elementary, middle, and high school levels.
- Assess and create individualized treatment plans to address students' functional, sensory, and motor needs.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support students educational goals.
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports to track student development.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the multidisciplinary approach to student care.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapy licensure.
- Experience working within school environments, particularly with elementary-aged students.
- Strong understanding of school-based therapy practices and IDEA regulations.
- Ability to manage a caseload effectively and adapt interventions to meet varying student needs.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Location: Columbus, New Mexico onsite position within a school setting.
