Job Description

A full-time Occupational Therapist position is available in Columbus, NM, working within a school setting. This role requires 37.5 hours per week, providing in-person services to approximately 30 students, primarily at the elementary school level. Experience working in school environments is preferred, with opportunities to support students across elementary, middle, and high school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to students needs.
  • Provide direct therapy services, focusing on improving students fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional independence.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student success and inclusion in the classroom.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and therapy sessions.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute professional expertise to multidisciplinary teams.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid Occupational Therapy licensure.
  • Prior experience working in elementary, middle, and high school settings preferred.
