Job Description

Step into a vital role supporting students as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a contract position running from August 3rd, 2026, through May 21st, 2027. This opportunity is based onsite at school locations (to be determined) near Columbus, GA. Enjoy a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hours per day) during the academic year in a collaborative, student-centered environment.

What You'll Need:

  • Current, active Georgia OT License (required for all applicants)
  • At least one year of clinical experience in OT, including work with pediatric populations
  • School-based therapy experience is highly desirable
  • COTAs consideredcandidates with prior school experience as a COTA will be prioritized
  • Flexibility to work at various schools within the district as needs arise
  • Strong collaboration skills and a passion for promoting student growth

Primary Duties:

  • Provide onsite OT services to assigned students, addressing IEP goals and developmental needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support comprehensive care plans
  • Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document student progress accurately
  • Adapt and adjust caseload based on district needs and individual strengths
  • Attend team meetings and contribute to interdisciplinary discussions as needed
