Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Valid certification from NBCOT
- Previous experience working in educational or pediatric settings preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans
- Dedication to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to evaluate students functional abilities and sensory needs
- Develop and deliver individualized intervention plans to address fine motor, sensory-motor, and adaptive skill development
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to integrate therapy goals within the classroom
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise for development of student goals
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and therapy outcomes
- Provide consultation and training for educational staff to support student success
- Stay up-to-date with best practices and evidence-based interventions in school occupational therapy
