An exciting opportunity is available for a licensed Occupational Therapist to support K-12 students across multiple schools in Colorado Springs, CO during the 2025-26 school year. This full-time position (37.5 hours per week) offers a dynamic itinerant caseload model, providing both direct and indirect occupational therapy services, including evaluations, IEP development, and individualized interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students across K-12 settings, including direct therapy and consultation.
- Conduct thorough evaluations and participate in development and review of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Provide both hands-on therapy and indirect services such as documentation and collaboration with educational teams.
- Travel among assigned schools to meet student needs efficiently.
- Collaborate with district staff to ensure compliance with policies and therapeutic goals.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Colorado OT License and Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Teaching Certification required.
- Experience in school-based occupational therapy preferred.
- Familiarity with caseload management and working within itinerant service models.
- Strong communication skills to engage with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to participate in Zoom or in-person interviews as part of the selection process.
Additional Details:
- Work hours are full-time with some part-time opportunities (as little as 60 minutes per month) available for in-home services.
- No administrative supervision responsibilities required.
- The district employs a caseload cap model; more specifics will be provided upon inquiry.
- Interviews will be conducted promptly via Zoom or onsite with expedited hiring decisions.
