Job Description
An occupational therapist opportunity is available for the entire school year in a K-12 educational setting located in Colorado Springs, CO. This contract position focuses on providing occupational therapy services to students in a school environment, supporting their development and ability to participate fully in educational activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive OT evaluations and interventions tailored to students individual needs.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
- Utilize various service delivery models including in-person, teletherapy, and home health as needed.
- Support students across a range of healthcare and developmental challenges to enhance functional skills.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school policies and regulations.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in K-12 school settings.
- Proficient in delivering OT services through teletherapy and home health.
- Strong knowledge of pediatric healthcare and educational requirements.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to adapt interventions to individual student needs and learning environments.
