Occupational Therapist Contract Position Colorado Springs, CO

A Colorado Springs school district is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist for the 2025-26 school year. This role offers both full-time and part-time contract opportunities serving K-12 students across multiple schools. The position supports students through evaluation, participation in IEPs, and delivery of direct and indirect OT services under a caseload model.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Colorado OT license and teaching certificate (CDE)
  • Experience in school-based occupational therapy preferred
  • Ability to conduct evaluations and develop intervention plans aligned with student IEPs
  • Comfortable providing services in person across K-12 settings
  • Adaptability for part-time in-home OT visits (approx. 60 minutes monthly) is a plus
  • Familiarity with standard IEP systems and documentation processes

Location & Assignment Details:

  • Location: Colorado Springs, CO
  • Caseload model with manageable cap
  • Full-time schedule: 37.5 hours/week with itinerant travel among assigned schools
  • Part-time option offering occasional in-home therapy services

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct student assessments, participate in IEP meetings, and document progress
  • Deliver occupational therapy interventions tailored to individual student needs
  • Provide both direct treatment and indirect consultation to educators and families
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student success
  • Maintain compliance with district requirements and professional standards
