Job Description

Located in Colorado Springs, CO, this full-time Occupational Therapist position offers a unique opportunity to provide comprehensive school-based services across multiple K-12 schools during the 2025-26 school year. This contract role supports students through a caseload model emphasizing direct and indirect therapy, including teletherapy and home health interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to address student needs
  • Provide direct and indirect occupational therapy services across a diverse student caseload
  • Coordinate with educational staff to implement interventions in multiple school settings
  • Deliver occasional in-home services, supporting student progress outside traditional settings
  • Document and manage caseload requirements in compliance with district policies
  • Participate in team meetings and maintain effective communication with school personnel

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Colorado Occupational Therapy license
  • Current Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching certification
  • Proven experience in school-based occupational therapy, including teletherapy and home health services
  • Strong understanding of K-12 educational environments and caseload management
  • Ability to work itinerantly across several schools within the district
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Work Schedule & Location:

  • Full-time, 37.5 hours per week during the school year (2025-26)
  • Part-time home health services averaging 60 minutes monthly
  • Multiple K-12 schools within the Colorado Springs area
  • Flexibility for Zoom or in-person interviews
