Job Description

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license in California
  • Previous experience in school or pediatric settings preferred
  • Solid knowledge of IEP development and IDEA compliance
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
  • Comfort adapting interventions to meet varied student needs
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload independently and efficiently

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations, assessments, and re-assessments for students referred for OT services
  • Create and implement individualized intervention plans and goals
  • Document therapy sessions, progress, and outcomes in compliance with school policies
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to integrate OT strategies across environments
  • Participate in IEP meetings, contributing expert recommendations for student plans
  • Provide direct and consultative therapy in accordance with established goals
  • Maintain confidentiality, compliance, and up-to-date records per state and district guidelines
