Job Description
Make a difference this summer by providing occupational therapy services in a dynamic school environment! A rewarding, contract-based opportunity is available for a skilled Occupational Therapist to support students growth and development from June 15 to July 10. Please note, school will not be in session on June 19 and July 3.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid and current Occupational Therapy license in the state
- Previous experience working with school-aged children, ideally in a public or private school setting
- Solid understanding of IEP process and documentation
- Ability to design and implement evidence-based interventions for motor, sensory, and functional needs
- Comfort collaborating with other school professionals, families, and support staff
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate students occupational therapy needs within a school-based context
- Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans and goals aligned with each students IEP
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students both individually and in small groups
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation of therapy sessions, progress, and outcomes
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, participating in IEP meetings and providing expert recommendations
- Support classroom staff and families with strategies and resources to help students achieve their goals
