Qualifications & Experience

• Active Michigan occupational therapist license is required
• Previous experience in a school setting is preferred, though new grads with related pediatric practice are welcome
• Comfortable working with students ranging from elementary through high school
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to engage with students, teachers, and families
• Organized and self-motivated, with the ability to manage a diverse caseload
• Commitment to fostering student independence and functional participation in all aspects of school life

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students with various abilities
• Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to integrate therapy goals into classroom instruction
• Deliver direct services, monitor progress, and adapt interventions to meet evolving needs
• Provide training and support for school staff regarding accommodations and inclusion strategies
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation in accordance with state and federal guidelines
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team activities
