Essential Qualifications:

  • Active and valid Michigan OT license (please provide a screenshot with your application; licenses may be verified at the states official site)
  • Previous experience delivering occupational therapy services within school environments
  • Knowledge of best practices for K-12 students with varying needs
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and other specialists
  • Strong organizational skills and the flexibility to manage a dynamic caseload

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy support for students in grades K-12
  • Assess motor and sensory needs, create and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Contribute to IEP meetings, providing expert input for student goals and accommodations
  • Track student progress, maintaining detailed documentation in compliance with school and legal requirements
  • Partner with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring a holistic approach to student support
  • Provide resources and training to staff and families as needed
