A dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) is needed for a contract role, working Monday through Thursday from 8 am to 12 pm, from July 6 to July 31. This opportunity is ideal for those passionate about helping children achieve their goals in a collaborative educational environment.
In this role, you'll provide occupational therapy services to students with disabilities, guiding them through the skills and strategies outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). You will implement treatment plans tailored to each students unique needs, using evidence-based interventions that address fine motor function, sensory processing, self-care, and participation in school activities. Youll work closely with teachers, special education professionals, and families to ensure continuity of care and help students reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver OT servicesboth direct and consultativealigned with IEP requirements.
- Employ proven strategies to enhance students functional independence and participation.
- Maintain accurate documentation of sessions, progress, and communications.
- Partner with educational staff and families to coordinate services and adapt interventions as needed.
- Customize materials and approaches to fit a variety of learners, both in traditional classrooms and community-based settings.
Qualifications:
- Current, valid New Hampshire OT license.
- Prior experience in a school-based occupational therapy role.
- Familiarity with IDEA, IEP processes, and relevant educational regulations.
