Job Description

Step into an engaging contract opportunity as an onsite Occupational Therapist supporting middle school students near Cicero, IL. Work alongside a dedicated team of eight Occupational Therapists, contributing your expertise to enhance student success and partner with multidisciplinary professionals throughout the district.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Illinois Occupational Therapist license
  • Experience in a school-based setting preferred
  • Ability to conduct comprehensive initial and re-evaluations for special education eligibility
  • Familiarity with MTSS and IEP processes
  • Strong communication skills for effective consultation and collaboration with school teams

Responsibilities:

  • Provide onsite occupational therapy services to middle school students, delivering skilled interventions tailored to each individuals needs
  • Serve as a valued member of building-level teams, participating in student support meetings and collaborating to determine eligibility and plan services
  • Conduct assessments, re-evaluations, and contribute expertise in the eligibility determination process
  • Support students through Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and ensure appropriate implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Consult with educational staff and caregivers, sharing strategies to promote the generalization of skills across settings
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation according to school and district guidelines
