As a dedicated Occupational Therapist, you'll support learners with diverse needs, working two to three days per week (20 hours total) during the school year. Overseeing two to three campuses, your expertise will contribute to students growth and help foster essential life skills in a supportive educational environment.
Essential Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy or closely related field from an accredited institution
- Valid State of Illinois license to practice as an Occupational Therapist
- Registered with the Illinois Department of Financial Professional Regulations (IDFPR)
- At least three years experience delivering occupational therapy services, including a minimum of three years working in a school setting
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a commitment to supporting K-8 learners educational journeys
- Ability to travel across multiple campuses as needed
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and deliver evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to K-8 students
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to ensure comprehensive support
- Maintain accurate records and progress notes in compliance with school and legal guidelines
- Provide consultative support to school staff regarding sensory, motor, and self-care skill development
- Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and interdisciplinary teams
- Offer flexible scheduling, working two to three days weekly
