Step into a dynamic educational environment as a full-time Occupational Therapist, supporting students from early childhood through 5th grade during a leave of absence assignment. This contract opportunity runs from August to November and offers a consistent 32.5-hour work week, allowing you to make a measurable impact within the school setting.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Illinois Occupational Therapy license (OT)
- Experience working in schools or with pediatric populations preferred
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and families
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Adaptability to work with diverse student needs in an inclusive setting
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students from early childhood to 5th grade
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and develop individualized treatment plans to support IEP goals
- Work closely with special education teams to address fine motor, sensory, and adaptive skills
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings as needed
- Offer strategies and resources to educators and families to enhance student outcomes
- Provide services in a consistent, caring, and professional manner
