Make a meaningful impact on the lives of K-8 students by providing specialized occupational therapy services in a supportive school environment. This part-time contract opportunity offers the chance to work 20 hours per week, spread over two or three days, and oversee two to three campuses in the North Chicago area.
Required Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field from an accredited institution
- Active State license to practice as an Occupational Therapist
- Registration with the Illinois Department of Financial Professional Regulations (IDFPR)
- A minimum of three years providing occupational therapy services, including at least three years in a school-based setting
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive OT services to K-8th grade students, adapting interventions to meet individual student goals
- Assess students abilities and develop tailored treatment plans to support participation and achievement in the school environment
- Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary team members to create supportive learning strategies
- Provide in-service training or consultation to school staff as needed
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation, adhering to state and district guidelines
- Travel between two to three schools weekly within the area
