Qualifications & Experience:
- Possess a valid Illinois Occupational Therapy (OT) License
- Experience working with school-aged populations, preferably in EC, Elementary, or Middle School environments
- Knowledge of current practices in school-based OT and teletherapy services
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, families, and school staff
- Commitment to fostering student growth in both individual and group settings
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services according to student IEPs, utilizing both in-person and teletherapy models as appropriate
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and educational teams to facilitate student success and inclusion
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document progress following best practices and district guidelines
- Support and educate staff and caregivers regarding strategies to enhance student independence
- Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations
