Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in California
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting strongly preferred
- Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with teachers, support staff, and families
- Flexibility to adapt therapeutic strategies to meet student goals
- Efficient at time management and record keeping
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to determine students therapy needs within an educational environment
- Design and execute individualized interventions and activities that facilitate student participation in school routines
- Work alongside multidisciplinary teams to develop inclusive educational strategies and IEP goals
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to IEP meetings as required
- Provide recommendations and train staff to support students daily skills, mobility, and classroom engagement
- Communicate regularly with families to discuss progress and reinforce strategies for success beyond the school setting
