Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in the state of California
- Experience working in a school environment or with pediatric populations preferred
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with educators, administrators, and families
- Ability to adapt therapy plans to meet the diverse needs of students
- Dedication to supporting students with a variety of physical, developmental, and emotional challenges
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized therapy plans for students
- Deliver direct OT services on-site according to students Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate sensory and motor activities into the classroom
- Participate in IEP meetings, sharing progress and recommendations with the multidisciplinary team
- Maintain accurate documentation of services, student progress, and correspondence
- Educate families and school personnel on strategies to support students' functional independence
