Desired Background:

• Active Oklahoma Occupational Therapist (OT) license
• Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Solid grasp of specialized equipment and adaptive technology for therapeutic use

Role Responsibilities:

• Evaluate students motor and sensory needs as part of the special education process
• Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy plans
• Work closely with teachers, support staff, and families to integrate therapy into classroom routines and daily life
• Provide direct therapy, monitor progress, and adjust interventions as needed
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
• Contribute to IEP meetings and help craft achievable, student-centered goals
• Educate staff and caregivers on strategies to carry over progress outside therapy sessions
