A contract opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist to support school-aged students in Chicago, IL. This role focuses on delivering therapeutic services within an educational setting, helping children develop the skills they need to succeed academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine students' occupational therapy needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each students goals.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student progress.
- Provide direct occupational therapy services and interventions.
- Document therapy sessions and maintain accurate records in compliance with school policies.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of student IEPs (Individualized Education Programs).
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license to practice in Illinois.
- Experience working in school-based settings preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pediatric occupational therapy techniques and educational regulations.
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches based on individual student needs.
