Step into an engaging part-time opportunity as an Occupational Therapist supporting K-8th grade students across two to three campuses in the North Chicago area. This contract position offers a flexible schedule, ideal for professionals seeking work-life balance while making a meaningful impact in an educational environment. Youll work 20 hours weekly, with the option to structure your days across two or three days per week, helping shape and strengthen students functional and academic skills.
Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy or a closely related field from an accredited institution
- Valid state licensure to practice as an OT and registration with the Illinois Department of Financial Professional Regulations (IDFPR)
- Minimum of three years experience providing occupational therapy services in school settings
- Solid understanding of developmental needs from kindergarten through 8th grade
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee caseloads and deliver tailored therapy services to K-8 students on two to three campuses in the area
- Conduct assessments, develop and implement individualized therapeutic interventions
- Collaborate with teaching staff, counselors, and families to support educational and functional outcomes
- Document evaluations, progress, and communicate effectively with educational teams and families
- Stay current with best practices and compliance standards in school-based therapy
