This contract opportunity offers the chance to provide school-based OT services in a diverse educational setting near Chicago, IL. The position is full time, spanning the upcoming 26/27 school year and offers the flexibility to work with early childhood, elementary, or middle school caseloads, according to your experience and preference.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Current Illinois Occupational Therapy licensure (required)
- Previous experience in school-based OT or pediatric settings
- Comfort with multiple modalities, including teletherapy and on-site services
- Ability to adapt to different age groups and educational needs (EC, elementary, middle school)
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to supporting student success
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services within EC, elementary, or middle school environments, supporting students participation and academic engagement
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educational staff and families
- Conduct assessments and maintain accurate records on student progress
- Engage in team meetings and serve as a valuable resource for both staff and parents
- Incorporate innovative, evidence-based techniques via in-person and teletherapy platforms
