Job Description

Qualifications:

  • Active Occupational Therapy license in the state of Michigan
  • Experience working with school-aged children, preferred but not required
  • Strong understanding of IEP processes and compliance
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Ability to assess student needs and create individualized intervention plans

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive OT evaluations and assessments for students referred through special education services
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans that address student goals and maximize classroom participation
  • Partner with teachers, support staff, and families to promote student achievement and generalize skills across school settings
  • Document progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to IEP meetings as appropriate
  • Adapt strategies and tools for diverse learning styles and developmental needs
  • Offer guidance on classroom modifications and assistive technology to support student success
