Job Description

Qualifications and Experience:

  • National Board Certification or current state licensure in Occupational Therapy (OT)
  • Experience or strong interest in working with students in Early Childhood, Elementary (K-5), Middle (Grades 6-8), and High School (Grades 9-12) settings
  • Knowledge of best practices for supporting sensory processing, fine and gross motor skills, and daily living skills in a school context
  • Ability to adapt interventions to suit a wide range of developmental stages
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with a collaborative approach to problem-solving
  • Familiarity with IEP (Individualized Education Program) processes and team-based service delivery

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and provide direct OT services to students from Pre-K to 12th grade
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to create individualized goals and intervention plans
  • Document therapy sessions, progress, and outcomes in compliance with district and state requirements
  • Support classroom staff with strategies and resources for student success
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to comprehensive student evaluations
  • Offer consultative services to families to maximize the effectiveness of school-based supports
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to ensure high-quality, evidence-based practice
