Step into a dynamic, collaborative contract opportunity providing essential school-based occupational therapy services in the vibrant Cary, NC area. As a valued team member, you will support students across elementary, middle, and high school stages, tailoring interventions that empower students to access their education and thrive. This is a full-time, year-round position working with a flexible workload model designed for balance37.5 to 40 hours per week, with monthly workload reassessments.
What Were Looking For:
- North Carolina OT license (NCBOT) in good standing
- Post-graduate OT degree (Masters preferred)
- Verified school-based occupational therapy experience (NC experience highly preferred)
- Proficiency with ECATS and comprehensive IEP development/documentation
- Extensive knowledge of Sensory Processing Measure2 (SPM-2) and Sensory Profile 2
- Strong grasp of assessment application/interpretation within an educational context
- Ability to conduct motor screenings, standardized OT evaluations, and functional skill assessments
- Ability to navigate and utilize district digital documentation systems
- Familiarity with DCDEE fingerprinting and Wake CPS background processes
- Willingness to obtain NPI number and NC Tracks registration before the start date
Responsibilities & Expectations:
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services in elementary, middle, and high school settings
- Conduct and interpret assessments aligned with students educational programming and state standards
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective IEPs
- Document interventions and progress within district guidelines and reporting platforms
- Participate in monthly workload reassessments with attention to caseload balance
