Qualifications and Experience Desired:

• Active and valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license in VA
• Experience supporting K-12 students, preferably in a school-based setting
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to adapt therapeutic approaches to individual needs
• Knowledge of IEP processes and documentation
• Commitment to ongoing professional development

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and deliver individualized services
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and allied professionals to implement effective student support plans
• Develop and monitor therapy goals in alignment with IEPs
• Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports
• Provide consultation and training to school staff regarding adaptive strategies
• Utilize evidence-based interventions to promote student independence and access to curriculum
• Serve as a proactive resource for creating an inclusive, supportive learning environment
