Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid and current Occupational Therapy license
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with students, teachers, and families
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches to diverse student needs
- Organizational and time management skills for caseloads and documentation
Responsibilities:
- Assess students' physical, developmental, and emotional abilities to establish individualized therapy plans
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services according to IEP goals
- Collaborate regularly with special education staff, teachers, and parents to align interventions with educational objectives
- Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and student progress in compliance with state and district standards
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing recommendations and updates on student abilities
- Support and educate colleagues on adaptive equipment, modifications, and strategies for student integration
