A unique opportunity exists for a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide specialized support within a school setting located in Cantonment, FL. This contract role involves delivering direct therapy and consultative services to students from kindergarten through 8th grade, ensuring their developmental and functional needs are met.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing direct occupational therapy services to K-8 students
- Conducting consultative sessions to support educational staff and student needs
- Collaborating with teachers and school personnel to develop individualized strategies
- Maintaining accurate documentation and progress reports
- Participating in professional development and clinical mentorship opportunities
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Valid Florida Occupational Therapy License
- Experience working within school-based settings preferred
- Skills in pediatric occupational therapy, particularly school and healthcare environments
- Familiarity with home health OT practices is a plus but not required
- Strong communication and organizational skills to effectively serve students and collaborate with school teams
