Desired Qualifications:

  • Masters degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
  • Current OT licensure in the state (or eligibility)
  • School-based occupational therapy experience (strongly preferred)
  • Proficiency adapting interventions for students with severe/profound disabilities
  • Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and documentation
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
  • Experience with assistive technology and adaptive equipment helpful

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive OT assessments for students with special needs
  • Develop and implement effective, individualized therapy goals and plans
  • Collaborate with teachers, aides, and related service staff within a multidisciplinary team
  • Provide direct and consultative OT services, both 1:1 and in small groups
  • Support access to curriculum and participation through modifications and adaptive strategies
  • Document progress, maintain compliance with all educational guidelines and IEP requirements
  • Participate in IEP meetings, family communications, and professional development
