Job Description
Step into a dynamic and rewarding role supporting students across kindergarten through 12th grade as a contract occupational therapist in a school-based setting. Work in the beautiful region near Camas, WA, serving a diverse caseload of 55 students. Here, you'll collaborate with educators and families to foster student independence, growth, and participation within the school environment. The position runs from January through mid-June, with a typical full-time schedule of 35 hours per week.
Qualifications:
- Valid OT license in the state of Washington
- ESA (Educational Staff Associate) certification
- Previous experience in school-based occupational therapy strongly preferred
- Familiarity working with a wide range of disabilities and learning needs
- Strong skills in collaboration, communication, and documentation
- Ability to provide age-appropriate interventions for students from K-12
- Efficient time management and flexibility in meeting diverse student needs
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students across multiple schools as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure students success
- Document and report on student progress, goals, and response to interventions
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
- Adapt activities and educational materials to maximize student participation
- Stay current with best practices and maintain compliance with state guidelines
