Step into a rewarding contract opportunity making a positive impact in school settings, working with students who benefit from your specialized support and expertise as an Occupational Therapist. Located near California, MD, this full-time role provides the chance to serve either an Early Intervention caseload (11-month position) or a K-12 caseload for the academic year. Youll collaborate closely with educators and families, supporting growth and independence for children and young people, while advancing your own professional practice in a welcoming educational community.
Key qualifications and experience:
- Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Maryland required
- Previous experience working in schools or with pediatric populations strongly preferred
- Capacity to manage either early intervention or broad K-12 caseloads
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, colleagues, and families
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive environment for all learners
Core responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and deliver direct and consultative OT services in accordance with students IEPs and needs
- Develop treatment plans, set measurable goals, and monitor student progress
- Work collaboratively with educators, related service providers, and parents to ensure comprehensive student support
- Maintain detailed documentation and contribute to IEP meetings
- Support the districts vision of maximizing every students potential in a caring and collaborative environment
