Step into a rewarding contract opportunity working full-time with students for the 2026-2027 school year. This position is designed for a dedicated Occupational Therapist to deliver essential therapeutic support across a variety of behavioral needs. The role will involve collaborating with education professionals and families to help students achieve their fullest potential both in traditional school settings and through home health services.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Minnesota Occupational Therapist license (unrestricted; must be able to practice independently)
- Experience in schools, home health, or related healthcare environments
- Confident working with a broad range of behavioral and physical needs
- Strong communication skills and professionalism when partnering with educators, families, and students
- Ability to independently manage caseload without supervision
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct OT services to students with diverse disabilities, including behavioral challenges and other special needs
- Develop, implement, and review individualized treatment plans in coordination with IEP teams
- Monitor student progress toward therapy goals and adjust interventions as needed
- Complete documentation, evaluations, and reports in adherence with school standards and best practices
- Serve as a resource for school staff, offering strategies and recommendations for classroom support
