Make a real difference in students lives by using your expertise in occupational therapy to support learners from kindergarten through high school. This exciting contract opportunity near Burlington, IL, offers flexible optionsselect either full-time at 37.5 hours per week or part-time at 32 hours per week to best suit your needs. Youll collaborate with supportive educational teams to foster student growth throughout the 2026-2027 school year, with two openings available.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Occupational Therapy License
- Experience in school-based settings is highly valued
- Familiarity with K-12 student populations and a variety of learning needs
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary staff
- Commitment to promoting student independence and academic success
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess students needs and create individualized treatment plans
- Deliver direct therapy services within classrooms and designated OT spaces
- Work closely with educators to support educational goals and accommodations
- Monitor progress, maintain thorough records, and adjust interventions as needed
- Collaborate with families and school staff to ensure comprehensive support
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations that benefit students learning environments
- Educate staff and parents on strategies and adaptive equipment usage when appropriate
