Desired Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapist license in the state of Texas
- Prior experience working in schools or with pediatric populations preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of IEP development, documentation, and progress monitoring
- Ability to adapt therapy strategies to diverse learning needs and abilities
- Maintain compliance with school district, state, and federal guidelines
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in accordance with their IEP goals
- Conduct assessments and interpret results to inform individualized therapy plans
- Work closely with teachers, support staff, and families to promote student participation and success in academic and functional activities
- Document session notes and maintain thorough records in compliance with regulations and best practices
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing recommendations and professional insight
- Develop creative interventions that foster independence, motor skills, and self-care
