Play a vital role supporting K-12 students as a contract Occupational Therapist in a dynamic school setting near Burleson, TX. This is a full-time, onsite opportunity, perfect for professionals who thrive in collaborative environments and are passionate about helping students access their education through occupational therapy interventions.
You will engage with students from various grade levels (K-12), providing assessment, therapy, and education to enhance their participation and success. Your caseload will typically range from 45 to 60 students, depending on service requirements. This role allows you to make a meaningful difference throughout the 8:00 a.m.4:00 p.m. school day during the academic year, from August 3, 2026, to June 4, 2027.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapist (OTR) license in Texas, issued by the Texas Executive Council of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Examiners (ECPTOTE)
- Previous experience in a school-based OT setting is preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload spanning grades K-12
- Skilled at documenting interventions and progress in a timely and compliant manner
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine student needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students goals
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to integrate therapy into daily routines
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning
- Maintain clear, accurate records and comply with all regulatory standards
