Desired Qualifications and Skills:

  • Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current and valid OT licensure in New York State
  • Previous experience working with children or adolescents, preferably in a school setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Skill in assessing and developing individualized treatment plans
  • Knowledge of current therapy techniques, assistive devices, and relevant software

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct screenings and evaluations for students referred for occupational therapy services
  • Develop and implement targeted, individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP and 504 goals
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and families to promote student progress and participation
  • Maintain thorough documentation and reports in compliance with school and state requirements
  • Offer training and resources to support classroom modifications and sensory integration strategies
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss student progress and make recommendations for ongoing interventions
