Step into a meaningful and rewarding role as a school-based Occupational Therapist, making a real impact with a caseload of 20 students each week. This contract position is based near Brighton, CO, and runs from August 13th, 2026, through May 20th, 2027. You'll work onsite for 16 hours per week, supporting students functional skills, independence, and participation in school routines.
Your expertise in occupational therapy will help students achieve their individual goals within a collaborative educational environment. This part-time opportunity allows you to focus on high-quality service while enjoying a balanced schedule.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT license required)
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Awareness of and compliance with all district and state requirements; please ensure certifications are current and meet local guidelines
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to design and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and track student progress
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to a caseload of 20 students
- Assess student needs and develop strategies to improve performance in academic and functional activities
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with district and state policies
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and families
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to team planning
