Step into a rewarding role supporting student growth as an Occupational Therapist! This contract assignment offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact at a school serving a diverse student body. Youll be working onsite, part-time (1.5 days per week, 16 hours total), managing a focused caseload of 20 students throughout the school year. The position runs from August 13th, 2026 to May 20th, 2027, providing a consistent and meaningful schedule.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active and valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license required
- Previous experience in school-based settings preferred
- Knowledge of pediatric therapy practices and IEP processes
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with educators, families, and students
- Ability to manage documentation, reporting, and treatment planning efficiently
- Adaptable and self-motivated, with a commitment to student-centered care
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct OT services to students as outlined in individual education plans (IEPs)
- Conduct evaluations and create intervention plans that support educational goals
- Provide recommendations to inform classroom modifications and accommodations
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and timely required reports
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions
- Adhere to all state, federal, and school district policies
