This opportunity is for an Occupational Therapist skilled in school-based therapy to provide essential support within an educational setting. The role is travel-based, offering the chance to work in Bridgeport, CT schools while gaining valuable experience in diverse learning environments.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized occupational therapy services to students to help improve their functional abilities and participation in school activities
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on student evaluations and educational goals
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
- Document therapy sessions, progress, and outcomes in accordance with school and regulatory guidelines
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Qualifications:
- Valid and active Occupational Therapist license
- Experience providing OT services in school or pediatric settings preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and school staff
- Ability to adapt therapy strategies to meet diverse student needs
