A contract opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist to support students in a school setting located in Bridgeport, CT. This role involves working closely with educators and staff to provide therapeutic services that enhance student development and participation in educational activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and develop individualized treatment plans to support students occupational therapy needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to integrate therapeutic goals within the classroom environment.
- Use a variety of intervention techniques to improve students fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as required.
- Participate in meetings and contribute to the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license and relevant certifications.
- Experience working in school-based settings preferred.
- Strong understanding of pediatric occupational therapy assessment and intervention.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
