Key Qualifications:

  • Active occupational therapy license in Washington state (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Solid background in school-based OT practices
  • Experience working with students across a range of grade levels: Pre-K, elementary, middle, and high school
  • Strong communication skills to effectively consult with teachers, parents, and other professionals
  • Flexibility and creativity in adapting interventions to various age groups and learning needs
  • Commitment to fostering independence and functional skills in academic settings

Your Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive student evaluations and develop tailored intervention plans
  • Deliver direct and consultative OT services within multiple grade levels
  • Work closely with teachers and staff to create supportive classroom environments
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting plans as necessary to ensure growth
  • Participate in IEP meetings, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to set and achieve educational goals
  • Provide parent education and training to reinforce OT strategies at home
