Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Masters degree in Occupational Therapy and a current state licensure
- Previous experience in a school setting or enthusiasm for working in educational environments
- Strong ability to work with students at various developmental stages (Pre K to Grade 12)
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and documentation
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive atmosphere for diverse learners
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess students needs and develop individualized therapy plans supporting their educational goals
- Deliver age-appropriate OT interventions in one-on-one and small group settings
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote student success and participation
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to IEP meetings, providing expert insights and progress updates
- Adapt and modify activities and environments to meet individual needs across early childhood, elementary, and secondary grade levels
- Educate staff and caregivers on strategies and tools to assist with students development
