Job Description

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Masters degree in Occupational Therapy and a current state licensure
  • Previous experience in a school setting or enthusiasm for working in educational environments
  • Strong ability to work with students at various developmental stages (Pre K to Grade 12)
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and documentation
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive atmosphere for diverse learners

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assess students needs and develop individualized therapy plans supporting their educational goals
  • Deliver age-appropriate OT interventions in one-on-one and small group settings
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote student success and participation
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to IEP meetings, providing expert insights and progress updates
  • Adapt and modify activities and environments to meet individual needs across early childhood, elementary, and secondary grade levels
  • Educate staff and caregivers on strategies and tools to assist with students development
