Step into a dynamic opportunity supporting K-12 students with a focus on administering evaluations as a school-based Occupational Therapist in the greater Boston area. This unique contract role is ideal for clinicians with a background in educational, healthcare, home health, or teletherapy settings, who are looking to contribute expertise on a flexible, as-needed basis. The primary responsibility will be conducting OT assessments and providing professional insights to help teams shape individualized education plans.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Massachusetts OT license required
- Experience in school-based, home health, teletherapy, and/or healthcare OT preferred
- Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills
- Comfortable working with K-12 students across diverse backgrounds
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a part-time, variable-hours position
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out occupational therapy evaluations for K-12 students to determine eligibility and needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including educators, parents, and administrators
- Complete comprehensive documentation and communicate findings promptly
- Provide consultative recommendations to support IEP planning and student progress
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations regarding student care
