Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students as a school-based Occupational Therapist in a supportive educational setting near Bolingbrook, IL. This onsite contract opportunity allows you to directly contribute to student growth and development throughout the school year. You'll enjoy working in a collaborative environment, serving a manageable caseload of approximately 30 students while partnering with teachers, families, and fellow specialists to ensure the best outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Occupational Therapist license
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is highly desirable
- Familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and progress monitoring
- Understanding of Illinois state and district-specific requirements for school staff
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to support student success
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional insights
- Adapt strategies and interventions to meet diverse student needs
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with school and state guidelines
