Job Description

This full-time contract position runs from October to December 2026, serving two school sites in the Minooka, IL area. You'll collaborate closely with educators and support teams to provide high-quality therapies and interventions designed to help students achieve their fullest potential across a variety of environments.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) in the state of Illinois (IL OT license required)
  • Experience in school settings highly preferred
  • Knowledge of best practices and compliance requirements for school-based therapy
  • Previous home health, general healthcare, or pediatric OT experience desirable
  • Skills in assessment, IEP development, and data-driven intervention planning
  • Strong communication abilities to work effectively with students, staff, and families
  • Comfort adapting to multiple sites and varied caseloads

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services across two school locations, supporting students development of essential skills
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and interpret results to inform Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective treatment plans
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with state and district guidelines
  • Participate in IEP meetings, staff consultations, and ongoing progress reviews
  • Provide training and resources to staff and families to support students needs within the classroom and at home
