Qualifications & Experience:
- Current and valid Illinois Occupational Therapy (OT) license
- Experience in school-based OT or a strong desire to work within educational environments
- Ability to deliver both onsite and teletherapy services as needed
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Adaptable approach for working with early childhood, elementary, or middle school students
- Proficiency in conducting assessments, developing individualized intervention plans, and monitoring student progress
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, addressing their unique developmental, sensory, and motor needs
- Assess and identify strengths and areas for growth in students referred for therapy
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with classroom staff and families
- Participate in IEP meetings and document progress in line with district and professional guidelines
- Support generalization of therapeutic strategies within the classroom and school community
- Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and families to enable student success
