Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current and valid Illinois Occupational Therapy (OT) license
  • Experience in school-based OT or a strong desire to work within educational environments
  • Ability to deliver both onsite and teletherapy services as needed
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Adaptable approach for working with early childhood, elementary, or middle school students
  • Proficiency in conducting assessments, developing individualized intervention plans, and monitoring student progress

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, addressing their unique developmental, sensory, and motor needs
  • Assess and identify strengths and areas for growth in students referred for therapy
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with classroom staff and families
  • Participate in IEP meetings and document progress in line with district and professional guidelines
  • Support generalization of therapeutic strategies within the classroom and school community
  • Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and families to enable student success
